When it comes to cars breaking world records, you might think of the fastest vehicles or those with the highest mileage.
However, the Tata Curvv has achieved a more unconventional feat: the longest distance a passenger plane has been pulled by a petrol SUV—quite the mouthful, isn’t it?
Tata Curvv Sets a New World Record by Towing a 48-Ton Boeing 737
The remarkable stunt took place at the AIESL Hangar in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
To showcase the Curvv’s impressive strength, Tata Motors hitched it to a 48,000 kg Air India Boeing 737 and had it tow the aircraft down the runway.
Despite a slow and steady start, the Curvv handled the challenge with ease, hauling the plane 100 meters before coming to a stop and securing the record.
A video shared by Tata Motors captures the moment the team was awarded their official record title and a medal.

How Powerful Is the Tata Curvv?
The Tata Curvv is available with three powertrain options: petrol, diesel, and electric.
For this record-setting feat, Tata used the 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing 123 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque.

Other available options include:
- A 118-horsepower 1.2-liter petrol engine
- A 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine
- Two electric variants: 148-horsepower and 165-horsepower Curvv EVs
Oh, and if you ever find yourself needing to tow a Boeing 737? The Curvv has proven it can handle that too.
