Aston Martin is preparing to raise its price

Tariffs are prompting Aston Martin to increase prices and reduce imports, though they won’t fully burden buyers with the added cost

Despite narrowing its losses following a challenging 2024, Aston Martin faces potential new difficulties due to the threat of tariffs. CEO Adrian Hallmark stated that the British automaker is reducing imports into the United States while closely observing the evolving tariff situation in the country.

According to Reuters, these tariffs could lead Aston Martin to increase its prices in the US, a crucial market for the brand, possibly by mid to late May. During a recent earnings call, Hallmark informed reporters that the company intends to pass on some of the increased costs to consumers while absorbing the remainder.

Hallmark reportedly indicated that the price adjustments would be a combination of passing costs to customers and the company absorbing some.

Furthermore, Hallmark mentioned plans to decrease exports to the United States, emphasizing the brand’s vigilance in monitoring events and its readiness to adapt to changes in the operational landscape as they occur. The current inventory in the US is projected to last until June.

While Aston Martin has successfully reduced its losses in the first three months of the year, its revenue experienced a 13 percent decrease, which the company attributed to fewer deliveries of its “Specials” models, including the Valiant, Valkyrie, and Valour. Nevertheless, Aston Martin maintains its expectation of significant improvements across all key financial performance metrics in 2025 and anticipates a stronger second half of the year.

The delivery of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is slated to begin in the second quarter, followed by the Vanquish Volante in the third quarter. The new DBX S is expected to start deliveries in the fourth quarter, completing the brand’s refreshed lineup. Aston Martin also anticipates commencing deliveries of the Valhalla in the latter half of 2025.
