With its update, the Corvette now boasts a three-screen setup, replacing the former “button wall” on the center console

For many C8 Corvette owners, the prominent “wall of buttons” separating the driver and passenger was a major point of contention. Chevrolet has clearly taken this feedback to heart, delivering significant interior upgrades across the entire 2026 Corvette lineup, from the Stingray to the ZR1. Every model now features a modern three-screen layout, a reduced number of physical buttons, and a selection of new interior trim options.
The centerpiece of this update is the new digital cockpit, which integrates a more cohesive 12.7-inch infotainment display with updated graphics and a larger, 14-inch digital instrument cluster. Adding to the digital experience is a new 6.6-inch touchscreen positioned to the left of the steering wheel. These driver-focused displays have allowed Chevrolet’s designers to eliminate the much-criticized “button wall” on the center console, resulting in a significantly cleaner and more streamlined aesthetic.

Mirna Bajer, Senior Program Manager at General Motors, highlighted the driver’s ability to extensively customize the information displayed across all three screens. While the number of physical buttons has been greatly reduced, Brian Stoeckel, Creative Design Manager, emphasized the design team’s commitment to retaining “really good physical controls” for key functions.
The drive mode selector has been relocated, freeing up space on the center console for a wireless charging pad, complete with a cover to secure your smartphone. The volume knob has been enlarged and features an illuminated base, while the climate control (HVAC) functions have been moved to the bottom of the infotainment touchscreen for improved accessibility.

The redesigned center console offers more than just visual improvements, with practical enhancements including two ambiently lit cupholders, a USB-C port, and a passenger grab handle.
The Performance Data Recorder (PDR) system has also been upgraded. Leveraging the larger screens, it now provides more detailed track data and lap videos, a feature likely to appeal to performance enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the Performance App, initially introduced in the 2024 Corvette E-Ray, has been refined and expanded to all 2026 Corvette models. This app offers real-time data on horsepower and torque output, a G-force meter, acceleration timers, and temperature gauges for tires, oil, engine coolant, and transmission fluid.
Corvette buyers now have a wider array of interior color choices, including four new schemes: Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents, Santorini Blue, Very Dark Atmosphere (a blend of chocolate brown, jet black, and natural tan), and Ultimate Suede (Jet Black with Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue, or Competition Yellow stitching and seatbelts). For a more personalized touch, an asymmetrical interior color option is available, combining Jet Black on the driver’s side with an Adrenaline Red passenger seat – a first for the C8 generation.

For the high-performance ZR1 model, a new carbon fiber frame surrounding the digital instrument cluster comes standard. E-Ray and Z06 owners can add this as an optional upgrade. A notable new feature across the lineup is the optional electrochromic targa roof glass, offering adjustable tint levels (full, medium, and low). Additionally, the cupholders in the 2LT/2LZ and 3LT/3LZ trim levels are now crafted from real aluminum.
Despite the significant interior overhaul, the exterior design of the 2026 Corvette remains consistent with previous models. However, there are subtle updates to the exterior trim, including two new paint colors: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic, and an optional asymmetrical center stripe in either Edge Red or Carbon Flash.

While the powertrain options and chassis setup carry over, the optional ZTK performance package now includes the largest carbon-ceramic brakes ever fitted to a production Corvette, featuring 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers for enhanced braking performance.
The C8 Corvette was initially launched in 2019, followed by the Z06 in 2022, the electrified E-Ray in 2023, and the top-tier ZR1 in 2024. Pricing and availability details for the 2026 Corvette lineup are expected later this year.
