Could this be the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution ‘XI’?

With the resurgence of Japanese sports cars, we believe this render deserves to become a reality as well

Legendary Japanese sports cars are making a strong comeback, with the Honda Prelude recently confirmed for a full reboot. Brands like Mazda, Nissan, and Toyota are also hinting at bringing back their greatest hits. But what about Mitsubishi?

Silent. Too silent. To break that silence, here’s an entirely unofficial yet stunning render of a next-gen Lancer Evolution ‘XI,’ created by British automotive artists Roman Miah and Samiul Choudhury.

It looks fierce, doesn’t it? The design features a sleek carbon-tipped body kit, razor-sharp light signatures, and exhausts that could double as Hadron Colliders. The carbon-fiber roof, complete with vortex generators, adds a touch of scientific precision for improved aerodynamics.

We’re also loving the metallic grey paint paired with red calipers—a clear homage to the Evo VIII FQ400. You remember that turbocharged, fire-spitting saloon that once humbled a bright green Murcielago at Dunsfold, right?

In an interview with a known Automotive media outlet, Choudhury explained, “We drew most of our design inspiration from the IX while incorporating the X’s chassis. For the bodywork, we lowered the nose and adopted a more wedged silhouette. The lines are sleek and angled downward, simplifying the design and bringing it closer to the IX’s aesthetic.”

Come on, Mitsubishi—bring back the Evo already, and let these guys design it!
