This isn’t just a gaming wheel that resembles the real deal—it is the real deal, and it’ll set you back $2,000.
Race cars showcase some of the most cutting-edge technology in the automotive world, and the Bentley Continental GT3 Pikes Peak hill climb car is a prime example. Now, you can purchase a steering wheel designed for this car, which also doubles as a controller for virtual race cars in games on your PlayStation or PC.
Named the Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3, this Fanatec product is as authentic as it gets. Developed in collaboration with Bentley Motorsports, the wheel is optimized for real or simulated tracks alike, making it likely the most advanced gaming-compatible steering wheel available today.
The standout feature is a 3.4-inch round display centered on the wheel that remains upright as you turn, providing crucial details like gear, speed, lap time, fuel level, and even a live map. The display is framed by forged carbon fiber and CNC-machined aluminum rotary knobs.
The wheel’s core is a 5mm-thick carbon fiber plate with a unique green weave, and its handles are wrapped in Alcantara for grip. It also includes a detachable lower section known as the Pikes Peak Grip, named after Rhys Millen, a renowned figure in the Pikes Peak community with two overall wins and twelve class wins. For easy installation, it features the QR2 Pro Wheel-Side quick release, the same used on real-world racing wheels.
“Delivering real-world racing technology to sim racers is a unique challenge, and this product showcases our team’s passion and dedication,” says Fanatec CMO Belma Nadarevic. “Our close collaboration with Bentley Motors enabled us to create something exceptional—a seamless blend of racing performance and luxury. It was well worth the wait!”
