Hyundai and Genesis Launch Southern California Wildfire Relief Program

Hyundai and Genesis Contribute $200,000 to Support Southern California Relief Efforts

In response to the devastating wildfires in Southern California, Hyundai and Genesis Motor America have introduced a comprehensive relief program aimed at providing humanitarian aid and financial assistance to those affected. The initiative includes support for current Hyundai and Genesis owners, potential customers, and community relief efforts.

“Hyundai and Genesis are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles and the impact on everyone involved,” said Randy Parker, CEO of Hyundai and Genesis Motor North America. “We are immensely grateful to the heroic first responders and fire departments working tirelessly to protect lives and homes. Southern California is not just our home but the core of our North American operations, and our priority is the safety and well-being of our team, retailers, and community partners.”

As part of this effort, Hyundai and Genesis Motor America are donating $100,000 each to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. These contributions aim to support disaster relief and recovery for evacuees and first responders, reaffirming Hyundai’s commitment to its Assurance program, which focuses on the safety and well-being of customers, employees, and communities.

Additionally, Hyundai Capital America, encompassing Hyundai Motor Finance and Genesis Finance, will provide financial hardship assistance, including payment relief options for customers directly affected by the fires.

  • Genesis Owners: $2,000 toward the purchase or lease of a new 2025 Genesis vehicle.

These offers are available to registered owners of vehicles damaged by the Southern California fires, subject to specific terms and conditions.

Hyundai’s Broader Contributions:

Hyundai Motor America continues to play a significant role in the U.S. economy, with operations in its North American headquarters in California, an Alabama assembly plant, the new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, and multiple R&D facilities. Combined, these efforts contribute $20.1 billion annually and support 190,000 jobs in the U.S.

Through this relief program, Hyundai aims to support recovery and extend meaningful assistance to individuals and communities affected by the wildfires.
