Since 2007, the German brand has been producing cars in India, including the 3-Series, X5, X7, and iX1.

Chinese buyers have a strong preference for long-wheelbase cars, prompting BMW to launch a stretched X3 there in mid-February. Now, the German automaker has introduced a long-wheelbase 3-Series—this time, designed specifically for the Indian market.
Called the 330Li M Sport, the new model is built at BMW’s Chennai plant. It measures 189.7 inches (4,819 mm) in length—4.17 inches (106 mm) longer than the standard 3-Series.
Its wheelbase has also grown by 4.33 inches (110 mm) to 116.5 inches (2,961 mm), making it the longest in its class and offering significantly more legroom. Interestingly, BMW India has yet to release photos of the rear seats.

Inside, the 330Li M Sport features an aluminum rhombicle anthracite trim, BMW’s Curved Display, a flat-bottomed M leather steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 258 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels, allowing the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 seconds.
Luxury cars in India come at a premium, and the 330Li M Sport is no exception, starting at INR 6,260,000 (approximately $71,500).
BMW has been producing vehicles in India since 2007 at its Chennai plant, assembling models such as the 4-Series, 5-Series, 6-Series, 7-Series, X1, X3, X5, X6, X7, and several EVs, including the iX1, iX, i4, i5, and i7.
