Jaguar Car Sales Drop Drastically as Nigel Farage Claims: ‘Go Woke, Go Broke!’

Jaguar car sales have dropped by over 25%, prompting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage to mock the British manufacturer following the release of the data after its “woke” rebranding

New data from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reveals a sharp drop in Jaguar car sales, falling from 45,779 units last year to 33,320—a decrease of 12,459 vehicles. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage seized on the figures, declaring, “Go woke, go broke!”

The sales decline comes as Jaguar faces criticism for its rebranding efforts, including replacing the iconic “growler” badge with a “J” logo and introducing a bright pink concept car aimed at reshaping its image for the electric era. The changes have sparked backlash, with critics labeling the moves as “woke” and “unhinged.”

While the rebrand largely occurred after the reported sales period, Jaguar has committed to a bold transition toward becoming an all-electric manufacturer by 2030, aligning with green energy goals.

Jaguar Chief Rawdon Glover defended the strategy, emphasizing the need to break from “traditional automotive stereotypes” to redefine the brand at a premium level. Despite mixed reactions, Glover reported positive feedback from many quarters, though he condemned the “vile hatred and intolerance” directed at the company’s vision.

Amid these shifts, demand for Jaguar’s Range Rover and Defender models has grown, indicating that while controversy surrounds the rebrand, consumer interest in key product lines remains strong.
