Weiner’s antics landed him charges for indecent exposure and lewdness

April Fools’ Day may still be weeks away, but the New Hampshire State Police must have thought they were the target of a bizarre prank. After all, how else do you explain a naked man named Weiner causing chaos on the highway?
The strange incident unfolded last Sunday around 3:15 PM when troopers received multiple reports of a man disrupting traffic on Route 16 in Dover. Witnesses told police that a naked man was running and walking along the highway.

When troopers arrived, they quickly located the unclothed suspect and took him into custody. He was identified as 35-year-old Shawn P. Weiner Sr. of Somersworth.
Upon investigation, authorities discovered that Weiner had been involved in a crash with a stolen vehicle. After the crash, he fled the scene on foot before stripping naked and attempting to cross the highway.
While it’s unclear why he decided to go au naturel, Sunday’s high temperature was only 43°F (6.1°C)—making for a rather chilly Weiner. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
Weiner now faces multiple charges, including indecent exposure and lewdness, reckless conduct, two counts of disorderly conduct, and littering. Additional charges related to the crash and stolen vehicle are still under investigation.
