Subaru will produce 500 units of the 30th Anniversary Legacy Outback, and if demand surpasses supply, a lottery will be held.

Subaru is discontinuing the Outback in Japan but is marking its departure with a special, final edition of the iconic crossover. Known as the Legacy Outback 30th Anniversary Edition, this farewell model includes a host of upgrades and will be limited to just 500 units.
Distinctive visual enhancements set this edition apart from the standard model. It features new 18-inch matte black wheels, blacked-out bumpers, fender arches, and side skirts, along with black wing mirrors, a black grille, and black roof rails. A black rear spoiler and exclusive badges complete the exterior updates.
The standout upgrade in the 30th Anniversary Edition lies beneath the surface, with Hitachi Astemo SFRDs (Sensitive Frequency Response Dampers) tuned by STI installed at the front. Additionally, a new set of STI-tuned dampers has been added to the rear.
Inside, unique features complete the enhancements. A powerful Harmon Kardon audio system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer has been included, along with new ivory and black Nappa leather upholstery featuring silver contrast stitching. The door panels are especially striking, showcasing “30th Anniversary” stitching to remind occupants that this is a truly special Subaru.

As is typical for limited-edition models in Japan, Subaru will hold a lottery if demand exceeds 500 buyers for the special Legacy Outback. Orders will be accepted starting November 10 and will remain open until March 2025. Pricing details have not yet been revealed.
