Japan NCAP gives 5 stars to Honda Elevate after crash test

The Honda Elevate, produced in India and exported to markets like Japan (where it’s known as the WR-V), has achieved a 5-star safety rating in the Japan NCAP crash test. The SUV demonstrated strong performance, securing an overall score of 176.23 out of a possible 193.8 points.

In the Japan NCAP assessment, the Honda Elevate earned 82.22 out of 85.8 points in preventive safety testing and 86.01 out of 100 points in collision safety. Notably, it achieved the highest Level 5 rating in the Autonomous Emergency Braking test and a perfect 8 out of 8 points for its Automatic Emergency Call System. Regarding pedestrian protection, the Elevate scored Level 4 out of 5 for head protection and Level 5 out of 5 for leg protection.

The official Japan NCAP report highlighted the overall safety performance of the India-manufactured Honda Elevate, culminating in the 176.23 out of 193.8 points.

The Honda Elevate prioritizes safety with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite in its higher trims, featuring systems such as Collision Mitigation Brake System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keeping Assist System, and Lead Car Departure Notification System. Standard safety features across the range include 6 airbags, energy-absorbing front pre-tensioner seat belts, and ISOFIX compatible rear side seats.
