Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition Bids Farewell with 429 HP, Enhanced Chassis, and Aero Upgrades

The final GR Supra edition is limited to 300 units, exclusively available in Europe and Japan

Toyota has unveiled the ultimate version of the current-generation GR Supra ahead of its production phase-out. The GR Supra A90 Final Edition is limited to just 300 units for Japan and Europe, boasting several upgrades, including a more powerful engine, KW suspension, enhanced brakes, and aggressive carbon fiber aerodynamic components.

Under the hood, the A90 Final Edition features an upgraded BMW-sourced 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, delivering 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. This powerplant is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, channeling power to the rear wheels.

Compared to the standard GR Supra, this version gains an additional 94 hp (70 kW / 95 PS) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) of torque, achieved through a revised air intake, a low-back-pressure catalyst, and optimized engine management. Additional upgrades include a baffle plate in the oil pan to ensure proper lubrication during track use, improved cooling, and a reinforced active differential on the rear axle. Completing the package, the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system enhances the car’s sound profile.

The A90 Final Edition rolls on lightweight wheels, measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear, paired with wider and stickier Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Braking is handled by 19-inch Brembo brakes with high-friction pads at the front, drilled floating discs on all four wheels, and stainless steel mesh brake lines.

While it may not bear the GRMN badge as rumored, the A90 Final Edition embraces its status as a farewell model with standout features like a carbon fiber swan-neck rear spoiler. Additional visual highlights include a vented hood, a revised front splitter with canards, and a distinctive afterburner-like effect on the dual tailpipes.

Inside, the cabin features carbon fiber Recaro Podium CF bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara. The driver’s seat, along with the seatbelts, center console, and driver’s side door card, is finished in red for a bold contrast. Meanwhile, the passenger seat and the rest of the interior are clad in black with generous Alcantara and carbon fiber detailing.

In Europe, Toyota will begin accepting orders for the GR Supra Lightweight Evo and GR Supra A90 Final Edition in January 2025, with deliveries starting in the spring. Other markets, including Japan and Australia, will follow with staggered rollouts.

In the U.S., the GR Supra entered the 2025 model year in summer 2024, coinciding with the discontinuation of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It remains unclear if the U.S.-spec model will incorporate any of the updates mentioned for the 2026 model year, as the 300-unit A90 Final Edition is exclusively reserved for Europe and Japan.

Toyota has confirmed that even after A90 GR Supra production concludes, the model will continue its legacy in motorsport. First introduced in 2019, the GR Supra received updates in 2020 and 2022. A new generation of the sports car is already under development, although its debut timeline has not yet been announced.
