Toyota’s Stunning New Blue Paint Is Limited to Select Models

Toyota’s TRD Pro series gets its eleventh exclusive color, Wave Maker, set to hit dealerships later this year

Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup has a history of bold and distinctive color choices—Army Green, Electric Lime, Terra, Mudbath, and more. For 2025, the brand is adding another standout hue to its vibrant palette: Wave Maker.

Developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team, Wave Maker is the eleventh exclusive color created for the TRD Pro series. It joins just four other shades available for TRD Pro models in 2025: Ice Cap, Magnetic Gray, Midnight Black, and Mudbath.

“We had a few years of warm, earthy tones like Terra and Mudbath inspired by natural landscapes,” said Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager at Calty Design in Ann Arbor. “With Wave Maker, we looked to uncharted areas of adventure, from extreme terrains to even beyond Earth. It’s a color that captures the elemental spirit of glacial depths and the excitement of exploring new frontiers.”

Visually, Wave Maker shares some DNA with Toyota’s Heritage Blue—seen on models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser—but adds its own flair. It’s noticeably brighter and leans more turquoise, making it a truly unique option in today’s market.

Wave Maker will be offered on TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year. Toyota hasn’t confirmed pricing yet, but if past patterns hold, expect it to carry an upcharge in the $350–$475 range.
